Privacy Policy
This page explains what information ScoreWire handles when you visit and what it does not. It describes only what the site does today. If that changes, we will update this page.
What ScoreWire is
ScoreWire publishes sports explainer guides, articles that explain how crypto cards work, and a Crypto Cards page that compares cards. You can read every page without signing in or giving us any details.
What happens when you visit
- Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard access logs. They can include your IP address, browser type, the page you asked for, and the date and time. They are used to keep the site running and to look into technical problems or abuse. How long the logs are kept is set by the hosting provider.
- One cookie: pll_language. The site’s language plugin stores this cookie in your browser to remember which edition you are reading (English, Thai, Chinese, Filipino or Vietnamese). It contains only the language code, lasts one year, and is not used for anything else.
- Session storage for emoji. WordPress saves a small note called wpEmojiSettingsSupports in your browser’s session storage. It records whether your browser can show emoji by itself. It stays in your browser, is not sent to us, and is removed when you close the tab.
- Search. If you use the search box, the words you type are sent to this site as part of the page address. Like any page request, they can appear in the server logs.
Requests to other companies
- Google Fonts. Our pages load their fonts from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com, which are run by Google. To get the fonts, your browser contacts Google and shares the technical details every web request carries, such as your IP address and browser type. Google’s own privacy policy applies to that request.
- WordPress emoji images. If your browser cannot show an emoji by itself, WordPress may load the emoji image from s.w.org, which is run by WordPress.org. Most current browsers do not need this.
The site does not use analytics tools, advertising networks, tracking pixels, or embedded videos, maps or social media widgets. The share buttons on articles are plain links to X, Facebook and LinkedIn. Nothing is sent to those sites unless you click one.
Sponsored banners and links
ScoreWire has a commercial relationship with NORA CARD. Banners marked “Sponsored” and some links on this site point to noracard.com. The banners are built into our own pages: they do not load anything from NORA CARD and do not track you.
This site also carries sponsored banners and links for YONGDON CLUB, a Korean-language crypto community (https://yongdon.io/). These banners are also marked “Sponsored” and are built into our own pages: they do not load anything from YONGDON CLUB and do not track you.
When you click a NORA CARD banner or link, or an Apply link on the Crypto Cards page, you leave ScoreWire and go to another company’s website. That company’s own privacy policy applies there, not this one. If you click a YONGDON CLUB banner or link, you leave ScoreWire and go to yongdon.io. This policy does not apply there.
What ScoreWire does not do
- There are no accounts, sign-ups or newsletters.
- Comments are turned off, and there is no contact form.
- We do not ask for your name, email address, postal address or payment details.
- We do not sell personal information.
Your choices
You can view, block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings. If you block or delete the pll_language cookie, the site may not remember your language, and you may need to choose it again.
Language editions
This policy covers all five editions of ScoreWire: English, Thai, Chinese, Filipino and Vietnamese.
